Connectors

Fuuz reaches the shop floor and the enterprise from one platform: native drivers for PLCs, SCADA and historians through the Fuuz Device Gateway, and enterprise connectors, plus a standard HTTP connector, for ERP, cloud and AI. Everything lands in the same data model.

## Shop Floor And Enterprise, The Same Way

Fuuz Device Gateway

### Edge and OT

An on-premise software agent with native industrial drivers. Configured remotely, updated automatically, outbound-only, with store-and-forward through network drops. A Fuuz module also installs directly inside the Ignition Gateway.

- OPC UA client
- EtherNet/IP for Allen-Bradley and Rockwell PLCs
- PCCC for legacy SLC and MicroLogix
- Modbus TCP
- MQTT client and broker
- MQTT Sparkplug B
- NATS publish and subscribe
- SAP RFC

Enterprise connectors

### IT and cloud

Purpose-built connectors handle authentication, pagination and payloads for the enterprise platforms you run. For everything else, the standard HTTP connector covers any REST or SOAP API, including every frontier AI model.

- ERP: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and Dynamics 365
- HCM: ADP and SAP SuccessFactors
- EDI over X12 or EDIFACT
- Shipping: FedEx, UPS, USPS, C.H. Robinson
- eCommerce: Amazon SP-API, Magento, WooCommerce, Square
- AWS, Google Cloud and Workspace
- Streaming and messaging: Kafka and cloud MQTT
- Data platforms: Databricks and Snowflake
- Quality and PLM: Arena, Körber PAS-X
- Frontier and local AI models

IT and cloud

### Frontier models, including Claude

Fuuz talks to Claude over the standard HTTP connector, the same path that reaches every major model provider.

IT and cloud

### Kafka connector

Connect Fuuz data flows to Apache Kafka for event streaming.

IT and cloud

### Cloud MQTT connector

Connect Fuuz data flows to cloud MQTT brokers.

How connections work

## If It Has An API, It Connects To Fuuz

A connection is Fuuz's interface to an external system. It handles authentication and moves data in and out. Mapping and transforming the data happens separately, in Fuuz data flows, so the same connection can serve many flows and many applications.

Not in the directory? That usually means the system uses standard REST or SOAP web services, which the HTTP connector already handles. When a customer needs a specific interface, we build it as part of our services.

- Connections: authentication and data in and out
- Data flows: mapping, transformation and logic
- Standard HTTP connector for any REST or SOAP API
- Native industrial drivers in the Device Gateway
A connection, defined

**What it is** An external system interface

**What it does** Handles authentication and moves data in and out

**What it doesn't do** Map the data. That happens in data flows.

Questions

## Connectors, Answered

What if a system is not listed? If it has a REST or SOAP API, Fuuz's standard HTTP connector already reaches it, with Basic or bearer-token authentication and no custom build. On the floor, most equipment is reachable through OPC UA, MQTT, EtherNet/IP or Modbus. When a customer needs a specific interface, we build it as part of our services.

What is the difference between a connector and a data flow?A connection handles authentication and moves data in and out of an external system. Mapping, transformation and business logic happen in Fuuz data flows, so the same connection can serve many flows.

How does Fuuz reach equipment on the plant floor?Through the Fuuz Device Gateway, an on-premise software agent with native industrial drivers. It is configured remotely, updates automatically, opens no inbound ports and stores and forwards data through network interruptions.

What about PROFINET, PROFIBUS or DeviceNet?These protocols need a translation step first, usually a gateway that lands the data on OPC UA, Modbus or EtherNet/IP, which the Fuuz Device Gateway then reads. The edge connectivity guide lists recommended bridges.

Can Fuuz connect to AI models?Yes. Frontier models, including Claude, and local models served through tools such as LM Studio are reached through the standard HTTP connector. Your agents can also reach Fuuz through MCP.
